Autonomie Project, INC

Autonomie Project is a new Fair Trade fashion company offering sweatshop-free & eco-friendly footwear, clothing and accessories. We work exclusively with small, independent worker-owned cooperatives and Fair Trade certified facilities located in rural and developing areas of the world.

I was approached my co-worker Mike Chevalier at Artstrike to handle the XHTML and CSS markup for this client.

The design seems very simple, but like anything that involves multiple browsers it took a considerable amount of work to get it to render correctly in most of them. The project involved myself on XHTML/CSS, a developer that handled the products, and Mike on the design aspects. This site was to serve as an interim site that would allow them to sell product while we work on a full blown branded website. I am really excited about working with these folks again, good people, great products, great cause.

About Jean

Jean Alexandre - works full time as a web developer at BZ results, the leader in digital marketing for the automotive industry. He is also a Hip-Hop artist, part of the Christian based rap group, Antioch Alumni.

He is happily married to his wife who has given him 3 beautiful children with one on the way. A lover of all types of music, technology and all around geekery, Jean has been doing web design and development for over 10 years.

I created this site to not only show some of my work but also to have a place on the web where people could give me feed back and I could share my experience and learn from others.

arrowGrant Skinner is a Beast

This guy is so nasty at Flash and AS3.  I came across these slides over at Lee Brimlow’s Blog.  I didn’t even finish going through all 150 of them but there were plenty of best practices I came away with.  I’ll finish the set tomorrow.
