This guy is so nasty at Flash and AS3. I came across these slides over at Lee Brimlow’s Blog. I didn’t even finish going through all 150 of them but there were plenty of best practices I came away with. I’ll finish the set tomorrow.

Going Comercial

I've decided I'm going to purchase a commercial license for expression engine. They got me hooked with the core and I need the additional functionality.I've been plugging away at expression for a couple of weeks now. It's great but I've come to the point where I need more functionality. For instance the core version doesn't come with the email module and there isn't free one from what I can tell. I need a contact form so people can get in touch with me easily through the site. I could always put my email address up here but that would be lame. So once I get the tax return or a deposit from a client. I'll be pulling the trigger and getting my license. Huzzah!

I think, I'm starting to suffer from this. I'm don't consider myself a night owl by any means but I'm starting to get used to being up pretty late. However, I think I'm seeing things...I've been working on this site for about a week now burning the midnight oil and all that. It's been great learning EE, but I'm starting to get burned out. I get excited when I learn new things and have a bad habit of not knowing when to stop working.

Anyway like I was saying before, I'm seeing things I think. I would be typing away at the keyboard responding to an email or just writing some code then a flash out the corner of my eye. Kinda like lightning but without the thunder. After the second flash I decided to get in the window and see if I could catch the lightning, but never did. I know I'm not seeing things. After about 10 mins in the window I decide it must be the lack of sleep, neurons or synapsis firing or something; I dont know about these things. I'm thinking of taking a break from working on the site, but I've been without a full site for years and need to maintain this resolve I have to complete this.

I'll sleep when I'm dead..... I guess.

Expression Engine 1.6.2

What can I say, I love Expression Engine. I've been working with it for about a week now and have bee able to create this site with relatively no hassle. I've tried wordpress as well, but EE is definitley more flexible in regards to what you can accomplish with just the core version.
